Gateway Hearts 2026: “The 5 Cs of Mental Wellness”
At Gateway Arts, we believe theatre is more than performance — it is a powerful catalyst for positive change. Through stories that reflect the challenges faced by children, youth, and young adults, we create space for conversation, reflection, and growth. Each production is thoughtfully curated to spark dialogue around pressing social issues while nurturing emotional resilience.
This year, Gateway Hearts 2026 fundraising gala shines a spotlight on The 5 Cs of Mental Wellness — five essential building blocks for lifelong well-being: Character, Coping, Confidence, Connection, and Caring.
The Journey: C Begins
Before dinner, guests are invited to explore interactive learning and engagement displays in the Gallery—curated from Gateway Arts’ past productions. These exhibits offer insight into how we engage our audiences beyond the stage, sparking meaningful reflection on the themes at hand. This experience introduces one of the five pillars of mental wellness: Coping.
Guests share the point of view of our audience who are encouraged to reflect on how they process emotions and navigate life’s challenges. They may even revisit the Gallery throughout the evening—deepening their engagement with the perspectives presented.
A Personal Touch: Your Wellness Toolkit
Guests will also receive a partially assembled Wellness Toolkit and be invited to personalise it with items of their choice. Whether at the start of the evening, between programme segments, or as they wind down for the night, this evolving toolkit becomes a thoughtful and comforting resource—supporting their mental well-being and offering practical ways to cope beyond the event.
Stories That Inspire Change
As the evening unfolds in the Black Box, guests can look forward to a programme centred on Story and Impact, where the remaining pillars of mental wellness—Character, Confidence, Connection, and Caring—are brought to life through performance and lived experience. The programme includes:
- A nostalgic return to one of our landmark productions, The Monster in the Mirror, featuring selected songs from the musical.
- A real-life testimony from one young audience member whose life was touched by Gateway Arts.
- A compelling sharing of the transformative power of theatre in action.
You will hear firsthand how your support helps cultivate resilient youth and build stronger, more connected communities.
An Invitation to Make a Difference
Gateway Hearts 2026 is more than a fundraiser — it is an invitation to invest in hope, resilience, and the next generation. Together, we can grow Character, strengthen Coping, build Confidence, foster Connection, and inspire Caring — shaping a future where every young person has the tools to thrive.
All eligible donations $50 and above made by you through the donation form below will be eligible for up to 250% tax deduction by IRAS.
