Gateway Arts Kids Club

Every Saturday from 10am – 1pm.

Our programmes are targeted at ages 3 – 7, but children of all ages are welcome.

We encourage parents to do the activities with your children, whether it’s Storytelling, Art & Craft, Free Play, or a workshop. It’s great for building your relationship with your child.

Yes! Gateway Theatre is right next door to Bukit Merah Hawker Centre. There are also 3 coffeeshops and plenty of eateries and cafés nearby, such as McDonald’s, KFC (and Pizza Hut), Hao Wei Lai, Brinda’s, and Café4You, to name a few. We are also just down the road from Redhill Food Centre, Bukit Merah View Hawker Centre, Alexandra Village Food Centre, IKEA Alexandra and Anchorpoint.

Online Storytelling

Yes, online storytelling is free of charge. You can sign up for our mailing list here to receive a YouTube link for our weekly stories.

The video is available for one week and it will be taken down afterwards.

Most definitely! We have a varied team of storytellers that take turns to bring you and your children a different story every week. You can see the schedule here. The online and live storytelling sessions would correspond each week.

In-Person Storytelling

Gateway Arts (GA) has implemented enhanced safe management measures including health checks, visitor restriction and the use of SafeEntry to record details of your visit. For more details, please refer to this document.

Most definitely! We have a varied team of storytellers that take turns to bring you and your children a different story every week. You can see the schedule here. If you were not able to get a ticket for the live session, don’t worry! You can always catch the same story online.

Storytelling is approximately 20 minutes, but our arts and craft corner is open from 10am – 1pm.

Tickets for the whole month will be available on SISTIC 2 weeks before the first Saturday of each month. They will be released at 10am on Friday. For example, all 4 sessions in June will be available for purchase from 21 May. Do note that there are limited tickets, so click here to book them early!

Storytelling is a free programme, however you are required to place a deposit payment upon booking on SISTIC. The deposit for a small mat (2 – 3 pax) is $10, and the deposit for a big mat (4 – 5 pax) is $20. The deposit will be refunded in cash upon entry into the studio. In the event of no-show, the deposit will be forfeited. Do note that SISTIC booking fees apply.

Yes, we are able to do a partial refund. In this case, patrons will be refunded the deposit of 1 mat.

Seats are very limited due to the existing safe distancing measures. The deposit system has been implemented to deter no-shows and ensure that these seats do not go to waste.

Tickets are required for all patrons including infants in arm.

Unfortunately, patrons will not be able to choose their seats, as seat allocations are done by the system.

Walk-ins are strictly not allowed due to the limited seating capacity. We will require all patrons to purchase tickets in advance.

Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets that are purchased will not be refunded, but you can drop us an email at hello@gateway.sg if you would like to pay-it-forward and give the tickets to another family.
